Hey guys! Here is an EXTREMELY rough collection of acoustic demos that I recorded on my phone from February 2020 - May 2020, the time period that I consider the "Cranium Shaker" era.

It's crazy to think that it has now been two years since I released my first real album. When I wrote Cranium Shaker in 2020, I had no way of recording the songs I wrote, no idea how to release them, and no idea whether anyone would even listen to the music I wrote. Overlöded has come such a long way since then, and it has blown my mind to see that so many of you guys have come to enjoy Cranium Shaker. Every message, every comment, and every single stream has meant so much to me as someone who has dreamed of making music since I was a kid. Thank you guys for listening to this album for the last 2 years!

This demo compilation consists of the original acoustic demos of every track off of Cranium Shaker, as well as many song ideas that were scrapped. I understand that most of these are probably unlistenable in their current state, but I think they give an interesting look into my songwriting process during that time.

Additionally, I included the first draft of "The Boardwalk," a version of the song that really displays my inexperience recording at the time. I sent this draft to Alice (aka Skeleton Boy) for feedback, and she helped me miraculously turn this rough draft into the song into what you guys see today. Surprisingly, the vocal take used on this draft was decent enough to make it to the final cut.

This era of my songwriting is where I believe that I really came into my own as a musician and an artist. It's funny to think that it took creating a band based off of Diary of a Wimpy Kid to really start making music, but whatever works, right? Anyways, thank you all again for listening to Cranium Shaker, and I hope you diehard fans enjoy this Bandcamp exclusive demo compilation.
